If you have an addiction to marijuana, then getting help allows you to get started on recovery and healing. There are many negative effects associated from the behavior. Consider getting marijuana addiction help so as to stop harming your body as well as affecting your loved ones and friends.

There are many short and long term effects associated with the condition. These vary from poor concentration, addiction, brain problems and respiratory diseases. As the drug leads to the impairment of the brain, it leads to other problems such as hallucinations, delusion, anxiety and depression. In general, the drug can easily reduce the quality of life of a user.

If you can not concentrate on normal or complex tasks without taking marijuana then you can consider getting help immediately. If it hard for you to go about normal daily tasks without you thinking about the drug or using it, then you can also seek help. This is the best way to stop an addiction or dependency or reverse some of the negative effects already introduced in the body.

There are other signs that you should have you get your loved one help. A parent can start by looking out for some of these traits in their young ones. If they constantly have bloodshot eyes, then they might be engaging in the practice. Smoke from marijuana irritates the eyes thus bringing about the effect.

Try and take a closer look at their eyes. If the pupils are dilated, then ask them calmly if they using the marijuana. Look out for abnormally large pupils as it is one of the effects of using the drug.

Be gentle with a loved if you suspect they are using, being aggressive or accusing them directly will easily cause them to deny or even be more cautious and careful with their habit. If you are approachable, they might be able to tell you what is going on which will easily let you organize for them to get help.

If you are suspicious that your child is using the drug, then check if you can find marijuana paraphernalia among their stuff. This can be in the back packs, rooms, locker rooms, bedside drawers, cabinets or under the bed. This can easily confirm to you that your loved one is using, especially if it is accompanied with other signs mentioned before. If this happens, be sure to get marijuana addiction help for them immediately.

This post is intriguing. It is from someone who was about to kill himself because he felt himself to unworthy. He could no longer cover up his feelings from drug use - it wasn't working any more.

I recently received and posted a new comment about alcohol abuse at the DrugAbuseFocus.com blog - where all drug and alcohol related stories should be posted. Everyone has one or knows of one.

The man who wrote this who shall only be known as ‘Viking’ stated that he started drinking at the age of 12 years old. The interesting part to me is that he knew the very first time he drank alcohol that he was an addict.

Drunk Relative Defecates in a Bed at His Cousin’s House - Truly gross. But this is an excellent example of the problems that alcohol abuse can cause. Consider in particular what this relative failed to do. It’s as if he couldn’t even acknowledge that he did something wrong. I put a post up called: Girl with the Scar... Take a look at it and leave your comments. Many people are suffering from drug and alcohol addictions - or even gambling addictions - one of the worst problems with addictions is that those addictions expand beyond the addict.

They typically steal from their family members or from friends. The problem is that they cannot get away with it forever. Once the family member or friend realized they have been lied to - it's over and a bond of trust has been broken - most likely permanently.

I just posted the sad alcohol abuse story and the death of my friend Vicki.

Let me be clear, Vicki was NOT the alcoholic, not by a long shot. It saddens me to remember her death even though it was 22 years ago. That time has flown by but I remember it like it was yesterday.

There are some days that you never forget. There are some that you wouldn't mind forgetting. There are good and bad people in the world.

We live for the good, at least I hope we do.

The purpose is to post a true story that has no identifying information in it. No need to post any names or places that could be connected with anyone.

The idea is to provide a story that can serve as hope, inspiration or motivation to someone who is drug or alcohol addicted - or - to someone that loves someone who is addicted and is distraught and does not know what to do.

Terrorist Networks Fed By Drug Users?

Well, if you really think about it, it makes a lot of sense, doesn't it? Can Drug Users be feeding terrorist networks?

It is a well known fact that terrorist organizations have turned to drug trafficking to get funds for their networks which presumably would include attacking innocent civilians because that's what terror networks do.

Just think about what it would mean to you personally, as a drug buyer, to find out that a terrorist network hit your neighborhood, killing people you know. Then, you discover that this network had been involved in trafficking the drugs that you payed for?

That would be a bad feeling, wouldn't it?

Drug and alcohol addictions are very common in our modern world. The problems they cause are very real and the consequences can be long lasting.

In order to escape an addiction, a list of drug rehab centers might be in order. Choose carefully for an atmosphere that will be peaceful and supportive. A drug or alcohol problem could be very hard to put an end to - the bonds of addiction are both physical and mental.

Both aspects should be addressed for the speediest rocovery possible!
